The EXPORT MISSION program has been launched: 30 companies will benefit from business missions to diversify exports
30 local companies could benefit from 2 business missions on the export markets of Romania, Germany, the Baltic States. This was announced today, February 2, during the launch event of the new program - Export Mission.

The program aims to identify relevant business partners in the target markets and organize individual bilateral (B2B) sessions for contracting deliveries.

Rodica Verbeniuc, general manager, Investment Agency: “According to the National Bureau of Statistics, exports in the previous year decreased by 11.5%. Despite the considerable decrease in the volume of exported goods, the Investment Agency, through its instruments and exports support programs, managed to generate from the exhibition activity an export value amounting 33.52 million euros. Motivated by these results, the new program launched today aims to increase the exporters skills and competitiveness in European markets. This means that we need to become more pro-active, competent, to adjust to new realities, both by reconceptualizing marketing and promotion strategies and by increasing the ability to connect to e-Commerce and use online platforms. ”

The business missions will be organized in 3 sectors:
fresh and processed fruits - Germany, Baltic States; electronics, machines, equipment and machinery - Romania, Germany; furniture manufacturing - Romania, Germany.

Aurel Casian, Executive Director of the World Bank's Competitiveness Improvement Project: “We hope Export Mission program to have good results. We have also set fixed objectives for the companies that will participate in this program, one of them being to strengthen export competitiveness by facilitating access to state-launched programs, but also by accessing financing for export-oriented companies, "said the Executive Director of the Project for Improving the Competitiveness of the World Bank (CAP II).

Local entrepreneurs are invited to apply by February 12, by filling out the registration form by accessing the link - https://tinyurl.com/y66wlxmd and following a series of selection criteria that are set out in the Program Regulations.

I am happy to see that this important tool has become available in the portfolio of the Investment Agency and comes as an extention to fairs and exhibitions support. "
