#NeamPornit # Protejati Marathon: What prizes will responsible travelers win?
"You travel and you win!" is the call of the National Campaign to relaunch local tourism #NeamPornit, which has more and more supporters and a growing community. The Petrom Moldova gas station network joins the #NeamPornit # Protejati Marathon - an important activity in promoting local tourism and responsible trips. Awards will be given for all travelers and promoters of Moldova’s tourist destinations. The new partnership was announced on July 24, during an online event.
The #NeamPornit # Protejati campaign was launched by the Moldovan Investment Agency and aims to promote and support the gradual relaunch of domestic tourism by complying with the necessary protection measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Rodica Verbeniuc, General Director, Investment Agency: “We highly appreciate the rallying of private sector companies to the national #NeamPornit campaign. It is through this solidarity act that they will contribute to a large-scale action and national impact, in order to promote together the tourist potential of the country. We hope that the public-private partnership announced today will be followed by other companies with corporate social responsibility that operate in the Republic of Moldova, bringing extra value to the #NeamPornit campaign while the participants in the Marathon will enjoy the prizes”.
The Petrom Moldova gas station network, which has been operating on the domestic market for 20 years, is the first company to join the initiative and decided to award the participants of the #NeamPornit # Protejati Marathon.
Andrei Leahu, Head of Petrom Moldova Marketing Service: “We have leaflets in all Petrom stations, which include information about the awards we offer and how they can be picked up. The prizes are strictly travel related, from coffee and sandwiches to free fuels “to set Moldova in motion”. We also have a contest, in partnership with Gogu Winery, we will award wines prizes for the best most creative 50 photos with local tourist destinations, placed on social networks.”
Those interested to participate in the contest can find the leaflet in the 81 Petrom Moldova stations or in electronic format on the company's website and on the website: www.neampornit.map.md.
To register for the Marathon race, participants must take a photo from a tourist location in the 5 available areas. Subsequently, to place it on the social networks with the hashtags #Petrommd #Neampornit # Protejati and to present this information at one of the PECO Petrom Moldova stations. The consistency of the awards depends on the number of areas visited. The promotion will last until the end of September.
Passengers who do not have the opportunity to visit Petrom stations can continue to promote the tourist destinations they visit on social networks and will receive symbolic prizes, offered by the Investment Agency.

The national campaign #NeamPornit was initiated by the Investment Agency, an institution that promotes Moldova as a tourist destination with authentic and unexplored experiences, in order to diminish the effects caused by the pandemic. The campaign is carried out in partnership with the Creative Agency "Publicis", "Magenta Consulting", "Profile Agency" and "Simpals".
The Investment Agency is 2 years old. Here are the main activities and events to promote the Republic of Moldova as a tourist destination:
• World Wine Tourism Conference of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO)
• 11 international exhibitions in 7 countries, attended by 83 economic agents from the Republic of Moldova
• 7 workshops for the development of skills in tourism, attended by 185 people from 5 regions of the country
• 3 webinars for the revival of tourism - "Pill after COVID-19", which accumulated about 13 thousand views
• 8 B2B sessions for 81 participants, tour operators from the Republic of Moldova and other countries
• 5 familiarization tours for about 70 tour operators and journalists from Germany, Italy, the Republic of Belarus, the Russian Federation and contributions to the realization of 3 TV / online shows broadcast abroad
• The first cross-border route Republic of Moldova - Romania, "Voivode Stephen the Great and Saint", which includes 29 historical and legendary tourist attractions and another 80 tourist interest sights in the two countries, over a distance of 2000 km
