Rodica Verbeniuc  the General Director of the Investment Agency, presented at Moldova Trade Forum 2021 the Agency’s tools and platforms, created  for domestic exporters. The event is organized annually and aims to promote exports and establish partnerships between Moldovan producers and  foreign trade networks representatives.

The forum will last two days, and over 230 producers from the Republic of Moldova will have the opportunity to hold discussions in B2B sessions with renowned suppliers, distributors and economic experts, to promote their company and products on the foreign market, to identify new business partners in the local and European market and get to know new services and products.

Rodica Verbeniuc, General Manager, Investment Agency: “A priority direction of the Investment Agency’s activity is to facilitate and support  our exporters to access new markets. We are the promoters of products made in Moldova on foreign markets and we implement national policies to facilitate exports. With the Agency ‘s help, in the last two years, about 150 companies have participated in international exhibitions, over 220 contracts have been signed, and following the participations, exports have generated about 33 million euros. We are aware of the huge losses caused by the pandemic, but this crisis has boosted Moldovan business to explore production markets, seek digital alternatives for exports and diversify its products and services. "

In the Forum, Rodica Verbeniuc mentioned that this year the Agency developed the "Export Mission" Program where 60 exporters from strategic sectors (fresh fruit, electronics, furniture manufacturing, winemaking, food and non-alcoholic) will benefit our  assistance in this the complicated pandemic period  , to identify target business partners in EU markets and to establish product supply contracts.

The event was also attended by the Swedish Ambassador to the Republic of Moldova, Anna Lyberg, who mentioned that the support for the full expansion of enterprises in the Republic of Moldova is one of the priorities of Sweden in cooperation with our country. His Excellency stated that, despite the negative impact of the pandemic on the business environment, considerable efforts have been made to promote trade, identify markets and new partners for the Republic of Moldova.
