Straseni

Straseni District is located in the central area of the Republic of Moldova, approximately 23 km northwest of Chisinau municipality, which ensures a strategic geographical and logistical position. Structured in 39 localities, the district has an estimated population of about 61 362 inhabitants and an average gross salary of 9 806 lei.

Access to international markets is facilitated by proximity to the Leuseni–Albita customs point, located at a distance of only 77.6 km, which ensures direct connection with the European Union. The district is also located at a distance of approximately 240 km from both Giurgiulesti port and Odesa port, offering efficient connections to international maritime transport networks. The district's economy is mainly supported by agriculture and processing industry, but it also stands out through mining extractions.

In Straseni municipality operates a subzone of the Free Economic Zone "Bălți", composed of four delimited zones: three brownfields and one greenfield, located in the industrial area of the city. The brownfields include production buildings and administrative spaces of former factories, having a total available area of 55,000 m². These are connected to natural gas and electricity networks, and connections to water and sewerage networks are in immediate proximity, providing ready-to-use infrastructure for potential investors. Also within the district, there is the CAAN industrial park, which offers a fully equipped and furnished environment, attractive and safe for conducting entrepreneurial activities.

A distinctive element of the district is that Straseni hosts the largest photovoltaic park in the Republic of Moldova, with an installed capacity of 50 MW, highlighting the area's commitment to renewable energy sources and sustainability. Reference companies at national and international level operate in the district, such as: Whetec – specialized in wiring for the automotive industry; S.R.L. Acit-Trans – active in the mining extraction field; Gora Technology Group – greenhouse manufacturer.
