The mural painting of the country’s brand "The Tree of Life " was launched under the Telecentru Bridge 

The Investment Agency and the Chisinau City Hall launched on September 16, the mural painting #NeamPornit under the Telecentru Bridge. The work was created within the national campaigns to relaunch domestic tourism #NeamPornit, whose start was given at the beginning of May. The painting works lasted a month. Under Dimitrii Potapov’s brush, the artist selected in a contest announced by the Local Government Office, the walls came to life.

Two private sector companies have supported this initiative, and now the mural painting covers an area of about 3,800 meters. 3.3 tons of paint were used to make it.

Not only through infrastructure projects, but also by giving back to the city its special beauty. So we invite all the artists as well as local agents to come up with ideas for similar projects "

The concept of the Tree of Life mural painting expanded its vision during the project reflecting the element of promotion and environment care giving it a much broader connotation - a symbiosis between the identity of the Old Tree of Life in #NeamPornit format, along with the flora and fauna included in the Red Book of Moldova.

Rodica Verbeniuc, General Director of the Investment Agency: “The Old Tree Country Brand has been embraced by both the local community and the diaspora - present at local and even international exhibitions in over 40 countries, promoting the country’s identity from the USA to Thailand. Moreover, it is gratifying that the National Campaign #neampornit, as the creator of this Mural, exceeded our expectations through an explosive presence of citizens in the tourist areas of Moldova. Thus, the National Campaign was initiated precisely out of the need to capitalize on those tourist areas that have been neglected or unknown by our citizens. I was delighted to hear that this year the Prutul de Jos Scientific Reserve and the Pădurea Domnească Natural Reserve were ranked in the top of the preferences of local tourists. And this is due to those about 700 locations included on the www.neampornit map, which boosted the participation of over 4000 Moldovans in the #neampornit Marathon. ”

The representatives of the private sector, who made this mural possible, mentioned that it is the most ambitious urban art project realized in Chisinau and it is a symbol of rediscovery the past through art, culture and history.

The National #NeamPornit campaign, launched at the end of April this year, had a positive impact on domestic tourism and recorded visible results. Thus, the tourist areas were assaulted by those who wanted to visit tourist complexes, nature reserves, museums, mansions, etc.
Before the pandemic happened most visitors of the tourist attractions and destinations such as guesthouses and wineries in Moldova were foreign tourists, after some of the restrictions had been lifted many Moldovans started more actively exploring national gems. This result was achieved due to the actions taken by #NeamPornit campaign:
• Posts on social networks of #NeamPornit pages that have over 12 thousand followers;
• Map www.neampornit.md - the most exhaustive online map that includes about 700 tourist locations;
• Over 4,000 Moldovans participated in the #NeamPornit Marathon, being part of these national mobilizations to promote local tourism;
The national campaign #NeamPornit was initiated by the Investment Agency and aims to promote and support the gradual relaunch of domestic tourism, by complying with the necessary protection measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
