As a result of this investment, not only has the factory been upgraded with new equipment, but it has also enabled the creation of 15 new jobs, with employees receiving professional training from the new investor. This modernization enhances the economic competitiveness not only of the Călărași district but also of the entire country and is expected to increase exports of high-quality products from the Republic of Moldova.

Palplast's factory produces high-density polyethylene pipes essential for potable water infrastructure, natural gas distribution, irrigation systems, and telecommunications networks. In the near future, the factory will expand its product line to include PVC pipes for sewage systems, playing a crucial role in the modernization of national infrastructure.

Palplast is the largest contributor to the state budget in the Călărași district in terms of taxes and fees, and this new investment aims to double the company’s production as well as its turnover.

Palplast is part of the TeraPlast Group, the largest polymer processor in Eastern Europe. The TeraPlast Group has existed for over 125 years, operates 10 modern factories with 80 production lines, and has invested over €34 million, employing more than 900 people.
