Identifying development opportunities for the Moldovan-Italian business, the impact of the pandemic on business and bilateral trade, possible solutions and common perspectives between stakeholders were the topics addressed at the 7th edition of the Economic Forum of Italian and Moldovan-Italian companies from Moldova.
The event provided an opportunity to present the new export platform developed by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Another topic discussed was how to start a business in Moldova from a financial and operational point of view, but also evaluated the results of the main collaboration agreements that the two countries have signed.
During the forum, the director of the Investment Agency, Rodica Verbeniuc, talked about the investment climate of the Republic of Moldova, the interaction experience and support provided by the Agency in facilitating and developing Moldovan-Italian trade cooperation, given that our country has a set of strengths to arouse the interest of foreign entrepreneurs.
"Italy is an active business partner of the Republic of Moldova and we want to maintain this positive pace of collaboration through strategic business projects that support the local entrepreneur and the development of the country's economy as a whole," added the Director General of the Agency. .
According to the data of the Public Services Agency, currently in the Republic of Moldova operates 1391 enterprises with Italian capital, investments in share capital amounting to about 1756 million. MDL or on the 2nd place according to the number of enterprises with foreign capital.
The 7th edition of the 2021 Economic Forum, was organized by the Italian Embassy in Chisinau, in cooperation with the International Organization for the Law of Development, the Italian Institute of Foreign Trade and the Moldovan-Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
