#NeamPornit # Protejati: A new initiative within the campaign - a mural painting with the elements of the national brand "Tree of Life" will be launched in Chisinau

Another initiative to support and promote Moldova as an unexplored tourist destination was launched within the #NeamPornit # Protejati campaign. The new project, supported by the Chisinau City Hall, represents a mural with the graphic identity of the country brand "Tree of Life". The mural is going to be exposed in Chisinau, under the Telecentru Bridge, at Miorița and Hâncești crossroads. Painting works will last over 35 days. The muralist artist Dumitru Potapov will paint the walls covering an area of approximately 3,800 square meters. The initiative comes to support travelers and all those who go through the area to discover Moldova as a tourist destination.

Rodica Verbeniuc, General Director of the Investment Agency: "The symbol" Tree of Life "is part of our DNA, through its branches passes absolutely everything that represents us. The Investment Agency, also gave it an economic color, transforming it into a country brand representing the investment and export offer of Moldova. It is an attractive symbol not only through the visual identity but also through its energy, philosophy. For the past two years, the "Tree of Life" has been part of Moldova's country stands at international exhibitions in more than 40 countries. This initiative will be implemented with the financial support of several private companies. We thank our partners who continue to be involved in promoting and supporting local tourism. "

The idea of the mural came from the desire of some private companies to get involved and support the national campaign to promote and relaunch domestic tourism #NeamPornit # Protejati, given that the tourism sector has been hit by the pandemic effects.

Eugen Boico, General Director of the Creative Agency "Publicis": "The" Berd's Design Hotel " team came up  with the desire to create something that would last over time, celebrate our traditions and invite Moldovans to discover everything we have. This bridge is a traffic point and we thought that it would be very nice for the place to be celebrated in this way - discovering Moldova and inviting everyone to travel the country.”

Lucia Berdos, Founder of “Berd’s Design Hotel”: “We invite everyone to promote our national values, our traditions and the tourist destination of the Republic of Moldova. We have beautiful, special places, and we promote in our hotel the cultural heritage through an original design. Under the pandemic challenges the development of such a project is current and important. Beyond the economic successes, the capitalization, appreciation, growth, cultivation of the beauty around us are also important.”

Sergiu Aftenev, Director of "Caparol": "I accepted the participation in this mural project unhesitatingly, by providing the necessary paints and primer. It will be an unprecedented work for Moldova, once we cover almost four thousand square meters. For this work, we will use a special quartz-based primer to strengthen the existing surface and to create a solid support for the paint to be applied. This is an ambitious project we participate in, and this means a lot to us, but also to our partners.” In turn, the Chisinau City Hall supports the launched initiative, together with the community of graphic artists in the Republic of Moldova. In this sense, the ban on painting the Republican Stadium walls will soon be lifted, and painters who are looking for a visible place to express themselves artistically will have access to these huge canvas.

Ion Ceban, General Mayor of Chisinau: “It is a beautiful idea and a good thing. I support the promotion of local tourism, and in this sense, every Sunday, together with my family we try to discover the authentic places in the country, from north to south and from east to west. We have a beautiful country, we have to go and find it out, to show our colleagues, friends, loved ones, those abroad that we have potential. In this initiative, the Chisinau City Hall is grateful and thanks the partner companies that support the development of local tourism. "

In this context, the Moldovan Investment Agency also calls on all Moldovan volunteers to get involved with creative ideas to turn the Telecentre Bridge into a landmark to Moldovan tourist destinations. Those interested are invited to complete a questionnaire, which can be found on the Facebook page of the #NeamPornit campaign, and later, they will be invited to present their ideas together with other artists involved in the project.
