LED Market remains one of the region’s most visible manufacturers of energy-efficient lighting solutions. With over two decades of experience, the company combines engineering expertise, local production, and international technical standards within a modern infrastructure, supported by a continuously expanding team that numbers 80 employees as of 2025.

LED Market covers the full production cycle and operates as a vertically integrated company with advanced technology, including PCB design, testing, assembly, installation, and after-sales support. Its SMT equipment and electron microscopes with magnification of up to 2,000x enable stringent quality control. The portfolio includes residential, industrial, commercial, street, and architectural lighting, as well as horticultural solutions.

The estimated turnover for 2025 is approximately EUR 4 million, and the current production capacity is operating at 65 to 70 percent, with the ability to scale up quickly depending on projects and demand.

A competitive market, supported by international partnerships

International expansion remains a key objective, although the process is gradual. “We already work with a company in Romania that represents our entire product range, and we have partners in France, Germany, and Ireland,” notes Vadim Nanu, CEO of LED Market.

The company focuses primarily on the business-to-business segment, selling to corporate clients such as distributors, retail chains, installers, architects, and designers.

Major projects from Chisinau to Europe

In recent years, the company has delivered significant projects both nationally and in collaboration with international partners. Locally, its clients include Digital Park, maib Park, PORT MALL, IBIS Hotel, Satul German, as well as retail chains such as Bonus, Nr1, JYSK, AZART, and DITA.

“Internationally, the company has worked with MixMarkt (Germany), Starbucks, Burger King, Cărturești, and Moldova Mall Iași (Romania),” adds Vadim Nanu. These partnerships confirm that products developed in Moldova are competitive and can be integrated into projects for internationally recognized brands, even in the most demanding markets.

Moldova’s electronics industry, a sector in transformation

The electronics industry in the Republic of Moldova is built on a strong industrial tradition and has evolved into a regionally competitive sector. With over 170 companies and approximately 16,000 employees, the industry makes a significant contribution to the economy through manufacturing, exports, and the attraction of foreign direct investment. The sector is supported by a robust technical education base, including dual vocational education, specialized colleges, and technical universities, with programs that are continuously aligned with industry needs.

In addition to manufacturing capabilities, Moldovan companies provide research, development, and engineering services, benefiting from a competitive tax regime and proximity to European Union and Commonwealth of Independent States markets. A skilled workforce, favorable operating costs, and existing industrial infrastructure position Moldova as an attractive destination for the development and production of electronic products, from basic components to advanced hardware and software solutions.
