The Public Institution Invest Moldova Agency invites all interested parties to participate in the public consultations regarding the development of the Specifications (Lot 1/Lot 2) for participation in the competitive tender to select a tenant for commercial premises at the Chisinau International Airport.

Subject of the public consultations:

  1. LOT 1: Specifications for participation in a competitive tender to select a tenant for the commercial premises for the purpose of Travel Retail commerce in the Terminal and Express Lounge of Chisinau International Airport:
    • Chapter III, point 1, letter a. „ Deadline for the submission of applications to participate in the competitive tender”;
    • Chapter III, point 2, letter b. „Qualification conditions”.
  2. LOT 2: Specifications for participation in a competitive tender to select a tenant for commercial spaces at the Chisinau International Airport, specifically for providing public catering services (Food and Beverages):
    • Chapter III, point 1, letter a. „Deadline for the submission of applications to participate in the competitive tender”;
    • Chapter III, point 2, letter b. „Qualification conditions”.

Purpose of the public consultations:

Revision and adjustment of the Specifications (Lot 1/Lot 2), in order to: (1) ensure a transparent and inclusive process for establishing the qualification conditions for participants and (2) provide sufficient time for the submission of applications to participate in the competitive tender. These amendments are intended to ensure:

  1. Competition: attracting a greater number of eligible economic operators, thereby facilitating the competition.
  2. Capacity: encouraging the participation of qualified economic operators with demonstrated financial and economic capacity, high-quality practices and standards.
  3. Security: ensuring the qualification of economic operators with an impeccable reputation, meeting integrity criteria, and posing no risk to national security.

Regulatory framework for the process of conducting the tender:

  • The regulation regarding the manner of leasing unused assets approved by the Government Decision No. 483 of 29.03.2008;
  • The regulation on competitive and reduced tenders, approved by the Government Decision No 136 of 10.02.2009.

Deadline for public consultations: December 15th, 2024, 17:00.

In parallel with the initiation of the public consultations, Invest Moldova Agency is extending an invitation to interested companies in participating in the forthcoming tender - to facilitate for them study visits to the Republic of Moldova. These visits will provide opportunities to tour the commercial spaces available for lease and arrange meetings with key institutions involved in the management of Chisinau International Airport.
