Cimislia

Cimișlia district is located in southern Republic of Moldova, on the banks of the Cogâlnic River, and comprises 39 localities. The district's population is estimated at 30 986 inhabitants, and the average gross monthly salary amounts to 9 111 lei.

The district benefits from an efficient network of national roads that ensure excellent logistical connectivity. The strategic distances are advantageous: 69 km from Chișinău, 153 km from the Giurgiulești-Galați customs point, 159 km to Iași, 153 km from Giurgiulești Port, and approximately 189 km from the port of Odesa.

The local economy is diversified, focusing particularly on manufacturing industry, agriculture, and commerce. To support economic development, the district has an Industrial Park covering 20 hectares, as well as a sub-zone of the "Bălți" Free Economic Zone, also covering 20 hectares, offering attractive facilities for investors.

The district is home to some of the largest companies at local and national levels, including Ecobioprod – specialized in poultry farming; Basarabia-Agroexport – active in manufacturing fruit and vegetable juices; Agrofirma Cimișlia – wine producer; and Agrovalion – a company in the field of agricultural crop cultivation.
