Invest Moldova Agency conducted a business visit to India, during which meetings were held with 28 Indian companies with a global presence, primarily from the pharmaceutical, construction materials, and energy sectors, as well as with industry associations, including the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) – the largest business association in India, and Pharmexcil – the public institution that provides guidance to all pharmaceutical exporting companies in India.

A key moment of the visit was the signing of a Memorandum of Collaboration on Monday, December 16, in New Delhi, between Invest Moldova Agency, represented by its director Natalia Bejan, and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). CII brings together over 9,000 members from both the private and public sectors, including SMEs and multinationals, with a total of 365,000 indirect members, and works closely with the Government of India. This agreement opens new opportunities for the development of economic relations and the attraction of investments from India to the Republic of Moldova.

During the visit, Invest Moldova Agency participated in the Moldova–India business roundtable, alongside the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Mr. Mihai Popșoi, as well as the Ambassador of the Republic of Moldova to India, Mrs. Ana Taban. The event, organized by CII, created new perspectives for bilateral cooperation and investment attraction, marking an important step in strengthening economic relations between the Republic of Moldova and India.

During the meeting with Pharmexcil, the foundations were laid for collaboration in 2025, including the organization of an online B2B business mission for the pharmaceutical sector planned for January, a potential business mission of Indian companies to Moldova in the second quarter of the year, as well as the potential participation of Moldovan companies in the largest pharmaceutical forum in India, scheduled for September.
