On November 16th, Bucharest hosted an important event in the Diaspora Invest series, organized by Invest Moldova Agency, aimed at Moldovan citizens living abroad who wish to invest in the Republic of Moldova. Following editions in Paris, Padova, Berlin, Dublin, and Madrid, Romania's capital was selected as the next destination to explore investment opportunities and connect the Moldovan diaspora to the country’s economic potential.

The event brought together representatives from Invest Moldova Agency, financial institutions, and partner organizations to discuss the diverse investment opportunities in Moldova and the available financing tools. Participants had the opportunity to hear the success stories of Moldovan entrepreneurs who, despite having international business careers, chose to invest in their home country.

Among the invited speakers were Ala Agrici, founder of Agrici Winery, who shared the success of a local high-quality wine brand; Xenia Muntean, co-founder of the Planable platform, who highlighted the role of the diaspora in supporting Moldova’s business ecosystem; and Mila Jarcuțchii, founder of PearlCode, who turned her passion for pearl jewelry into a successful business. The Celac family also shared their experience in developing a cherry preserve factory using local raw materials.

The event was a success due to its interactive nature, allowing participants to ask questions, discuss how they could invest in Moldova, and gain further insights into the investment process.

“This was the ninth edition of the event, and we are pleased with the growing interest from the diaspora in this program. The main goal of this initiative is to provide valuable information about investment opportunities in the Republic of Moldova and to facilitate connections between entrepreneurs in the country and those in international business. During the session, we presented both large-scale investments and initiatives that started with small capital, demonstrating that any idea can yield remarkable results.”
